The Cervantes Institute in Beijing opens "Reversal · The Gaze — Women Collectors, New Perspectives," from Sept. 11 to Oct. 20, 2025, a dual-city touring exhibition curated by Rosina Gómez-Bessa and Lucía Ibarra. The show brings together twenty-three photographs and two videos. The series is by three female Spanish photographers — Isabel Muñoz, Linarejos Moreno and Laura Torrado. Their work is then placed in a dialogue and collection and video by Chinese photographer Xing Danwen, alongside  twelve private collections loaned by female collectors.

This photo, taken on Sept. 15, 2025, shows the exhibition entrance at the Cervantes Institute in Beijing, where the banner and introductory panel announce the Beijing leg of the dual-city tour. The theme of women as artists and collectors guides visitors into the open gallery. [Photo by Liu Ziying/China.org.cn]
