Sophaphone Heuanglith, a young woman born in the 1990s, first encountered the deaf community when she was a teenager. Years of quiet reflection and unwavering bravery led her to establish the Hands of Hope School for the Deaf, the only private institution of its kind in Laos. Tucked away on the outskirts of Vientiane, the school is now home to 25 deaf children.
