A reception for diplomatic envoys in China was held on Sunday in Beijing, bringing together more than 300 participants, including envoys from 110 countries, representatives of international organizations in China, and their families.

In his remarks, Yin Li, secretary of the Communist Party of China Beijing Municipal Committee, expressed gratitude to the diplomatic community for their long-time support for Beijing's development. He noted that this year marks the 80th anniversary of the victory of the Chinese People's War of Resistance Against Japanese Aggression and the World Anti-Fascist War. He said that over the past eight decades, countries around the world have worked together to uphold the postwar international order, promote unity and cooperation, and advance global prosperity.

Yin also highlighted this year as the conclusion of China's 14th Five-Year Plan (2021–2025). Beijing's economy, he said, continues to grow steadily, driven by strong innovation and creativity, improved public well-being, and a thriving cultural and ecological landscape. Looking ahead to the next five years, Yin said Beijing will strive to take the lead in promoting high-quality development through new quality productive forces, advance reform and opening-up, enhance urban governance, and improve public services and the business environment.

Speaking on behalf of the diplomatic corps, Jordanian Ambassador to China Hussam Al Husseini praised Beijing's economic and social progress in recent years and the successful hosting of major international events. He said the city's vitality and the convenience of life reflect the government's efforts to improve the Chinese capital. He conveyed his best wishes for Beijing's continued progress and reaffirmed his commitment to deepening cooperation.

Before the reception, envoys toured Beijing Central Axis to explore the city's historical heritage and visited the Longfu Temple area to experience traditional crafts. The event also featured performances celebrating cultural exchange and friendship.
