On Oct. 21, the 5.98-mW photovoltaic power station in Fuhe town, China's Inner Mongolia autonomous region, achieved a smooth grid connection and power generation.

The power generation is a rural aid program initiated by the State Grid Balin Left Banner Power Supply Company to optimize the local energy structure and protect the environment.

By fully utilizing the region's abundant solar energy resources, the project that sits in an area of approximately 11 hectares is expected to contribute an annual power generation of about 10 million kW and help reduce carbon dioxide emissions by about 10,000 metric tons.

During the grid connection phase, professional technicians were assigned to offer on-site guidance on the grid connection design to ensure the safe and stable operation of the power generation facility and the local grid infrastructure.

In the meanwhile, the company provided "one-stop" grid connection services for local companies and opened a "green channel" to streamline approval procedures and enhance grid efficiency.

The company said it will scale up the development of photovoltaic power stations and provide more robust services to bolster the growth of local industries.
