On November 4, the Luohu Division of the 17th China Shenzhen Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition and the 9th Luohu Dawutong Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition Awards Ceremony took place at Shenrun Tower.
This year’s competition aligned closely with Luohu’s industrial development priorities, attracting 731 projects, up 24.5% year-on-year. Among them, 586 were team entries — the second highest in Shenzhen — with 80% coming from the Dawutong competition, underscoring Luohu’s position as a hub for innovation teams.
The inaugural “AI+ Industries” Challenge drew 180 projects in areas such as smart manufacturing and healthcare, promoting deeper integration of AI with traditional industries. Six Luohu projects also achieved strong results in city-level contests.
Focusing on capital matchmaking, the event connected startups with major investment institutions through dedicated roadshows and one-on-one sessions. Several AI and biomedicine projects reached preliminary cooperation agreements with investors.
Now serving as a capital accelerator that integrates showcasing, financing, and collaboration, the competition is helping innovative technologies move closer to commercialization.
A government-enterprise matchmaking session was also held to support project implementation, while visiting activities allowed participating teams to experience Luohu’s business environment and policy advantages firsthand.
