A public prosecution has been initiated against Zhu Zhisong, former secretary of the Communist Party of China (CPC) Pudong New Area District Committee in east China's Shanghai, on bribery charges.
The case of Zhu has been filed by prosecutors of the Nanchang Municipal People's Procuratorate in east China's Jiangxi Province to the Intermediate People's Court of Nanchang, the Supreme People's Procuratorate (SPP) announced on Tuesday.
Zhu is accused of taking advantage of his various former positions in Shanghai to secure profits for others and accepting an extremely large amount of money and valuables in return, the SPP said in a statement.
The lawsuit follows the conclusion of an investigation by the National Commission of Supervision into the case of Zhu.
