Beijing's municipal sub-center in Tongzhou district has witnessed strong momentum in attracting foreign investment this year. According to the Tongzhou District Market Regulation Bureau, 149 new foreign-funded enterprises were established in the first three quarters of 2025, bringing the total number of foreign enterprises in the area to 1,725.

To optimize its business environment and enhance its appeal to foreign businesses, the district bureau has established a dedicated task force to provide registration services for foreign enterprises.

Between January and September, 265 key industrial enterprises above designated size in the Zhongguancun Tongzhou Park reported a total revenue of 77.99 billion yuan ($1 billion), marking a 2.2% year-on-year increase. The park ranked sixth among all Zhongguancun sub-parks in terms of total industrial output and fifth in growth rate. Its export volume reached 3.37 billion yuan, up 21% year on year, also ranking fifth across all sub-parks.

Among these 265 major enterprises, 154 are recognized as national high-tech enterprises. Together, they generated 49.12 billion yuan in revenue during the first three quarters, accounting for 63% of the park's total. Meanwhile, these companies invested 2.66 billion yuan in research and development, representing 87.8% of the park's R&D expenditure.
