Beijing to hold theater festival

()The "Great Shows in Beijing" 2025 Performance Season will take place this weekend at Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center in Xicheng district.

Festivities will include theater flash performances, new production releases, artist meet-and-greets, and a cultural and creative marketplace.

The event will break the limitations of traditional performance venues and create an immersive performance environment throughout the entire Beijing Tianqiao Performing Arts Center. Meanwhile, performances across different genres, including the English-language original production of "The Phantom of the Opera," will be performed at the main stage set up in the public areas of the performing center. It will be the third time in 10 years that the musical will be staged in Beijing.

In the section of new production releases, performing arts institutions such as Magnificent Culture and China Oriental Performing Arts Group will unveil their content plans for 2026.

An interactive theater experience zone will also be set up at the event, bringing together cultural and creative products and offering a variety of consumer experiences, including theater-themed merchandise and specialty foods.
