A total of 279 firms listed on the Beijing Stock Exchange (BSE) have unveiled their earnings for the first nine months of 2025, with 230 of them reporting net profits, the latest data showed.

As of Oct. 30, companies that disclosed their third-quarter reports had posted average operating revenue of 520 million yuan (73.4 million U.S. dollars), up 6 percent year on year, and average net profit of about 32.99 million yuan.

By Nov. 14, the BSE had 282 listed firms in total, with small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) accounting for over 80 percent -- and private firms nearly 90 percent.

The bourse, which began trading in 2021 to meet the financing needs of smaller firms, said it would step up planning for its development during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030) to better serve innovative SMEs.
