Beijing recently hosted a matchmaking event to promote coordinated innovation across the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region, where several cooperation agreements were signed to help new technologies expand application scenarios.
The event released a number of application scenarios that demand new technologies from companies in Tianjin and Hebei, covering the fields of digital cities, biomedicine, and green chemical engineering. Tianjin unveiled needs related to integrated vehicle-road-cloud smart road testing and smart eldercare services in cross-regional business districts. Xiong'an New Area announced scenarios in space-based information, satellite internet, and digital city applications.
On the supply side, several research institutes and tech innovation centers in Beijing presented capabilities in areas such as intelligent platform development and key technologies for cell and gene therapy.
A number of companies and institutions from Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei entered cooperation agreements with regional technology-transfer platforms. The partnerships will focus on fields including medical device components, medical diagnosis using surgical robots, and industrial edge-computing software.
As part of the 2025 Zhongguancun Forum series, the event aimed to build an efficient platform for scenario-based supply-demand matching across the three regions, accelerating the application and innovation of core and emerging technologies.
