INDIGO shopping mall in Beijing launched its Spring Festival-themed event yesterday to celebrate the upcoming Year of the Horse.

The event features an 8-meter-tall art installation by artist Luo Ming titled "Prosperous Horse Carnival," drawing on traditional Chinese patterns and natural motifs. Luo combined Zigong lantern craftsmanship with contemporary hand-carving techniques, incorporating elements of the traditional lion dance.

Throughout the event, INDIGO will host workshops and performances each weekend, including traditional Chinese knot-making and New Year's flower arranging. Lion dance performances and Fortune God parades will take place during the Spring Festival holiday, bringing traditional festivities to the modern shopping center.

Guy Moore, general manager of Taikoo Place, INDIGO deputy general manager Meng Zhidong and Luo attended the opening. Moore expressed excitement over this second collaboration with Luo, hoping the artwork brings good wishes for the year ahead.
