
The quality of China's invention patents improved during the 14th Five-Year Plan period (2021-2025). By the end of 2025, the Chinese mainland (excluding Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) had 2.29 million high-value invention patents, accounting for 43.1% of its total valid invention patents, up 2.9 percentage points from the end of 2020, the country's intellectual property regulator announced at a Friday press conference.
