Venezuela's acting president Delcy Rodriguez announced late Friday the launch of a general amnesty process covering political violence, beginning with the promotion of a general amnesty law.
The proposed law, expected to be debated at the National Assembly soon, could cover "the entire period of political violence" in the country since 1999, Rodriguez said during a public address.
She didn't provide further details on the scope or timeline of the proposed legislation.
