China expands high-speed railway pet transport services for Spring Festival travel

春运来临，兰州西站迎来了一些“萌宠”旅客，这些符合条件的宠物将由列车工作人员专门巡查照料，在配备智能监控系统的高铁宠物运输专用箱内搭乘高铁出行。

With the arrival of the Spring Festival travel season, Lanzhou West Railway Station has welcomed a number of pet passengers. These pet passengers are specially monitored and looked after by train staff, traveling in dedicated pet transport cases equipped with intelligent monitoring systems.

铁路部门自1月28日起再次扩大高铁宠物托运服务试点范围，将办理宠物托运业务的高铁站总数扩大到110个，高铁列车由54趟增至170趟，旅客可通过12306客户端或“中铁快运”微信小程序线上预约，让春运期间旅客携宠出行更便捷。

Since Jan. 28, the railway authorities have further increased the number of high-speed railway stations with pet consignment services. Passengers can make online reservations through the 12306 app or WeChat mini-program, making pet travel more convenient during the Spring Festival period.
