广东普宁：英歌起舞闹新春
Yingge dance staged in S China's Guangdong to convey best wishes for new year

2月22日，广东省普宁市池尾街道上寮英歌队在街头表演英歌舞。2月22日是农历大年初六，广东省普宁市不少商铺选择在这一天开门迎客，开启新一年的经营。在普宁市池尾街道，上寮英歌队身着传统服饰，伴随着铿锵有力的锣鼓声走上街头，挥槌起舞，以充满力量感的英歌舞表演传递对新一年事业兴旺、开工大吉的美好祝福。英歌是广东潮汕地区的传统民俗舞蹈，融汇戏剧、舞蹈、武术等多种元素于一体，又被称为“中华战舞”。近年来，随着英歌舞“火出圈”，众多英歌队伍走向全国多地，吸引各地游客感受“传统艺术盛宴”。[新华社记者 陈晔华 摄]

The Yingge dance, or "dance to the hero's song," is a folk dance of south China's Guangdong Province which has enjoyed growing popularity nationwide in recent years.
