The 63-year-old Laporta had secured 68 percent of the vote, compared with 30 percent for his rival Victor Font, who conceded defeat shortly after 11 p.m. local time, describing the result as "unanswerable."
The club said that 48,480 of the club's roughly 114,000 eligible members cast a vote, a turnout of about 42 percent.
Laporta's victory is largely due to Barcelona's continued success on the pitch under coach Hansi Flick, despite the club's serious financial problems and delays in the redevelopment of Camp Nou.
