March 21 marks the International Taijiquan Day.

In Chenjiagou, a small village in Henan Province where Taijiquan (better known in the West as Tai Chi) originated, foreigners from countries such as France, Russia, and Greece can be seen practicing Tai Chi with disciplined movements.

Rooted in Chinese philosophy, traditional medicine and martial arts, Taijiquan has evolved into a wide range of styles and is now practiced in more than 180 countries and regions, with hundreds of millions of practitioners worldwide.
