China's total imports and exports of intellectual property (IP) royalties reached 425.35 billion yuan (US$61.82 billion) in 2025, up 6.7% year on year, with exports surging 26.3% as domestically developed innovations expand overseas, according to Hu Wenhui, deputy commissioner of the China National Intellectual Property Administration.
