At a promotional event held Thursday in Beijing, the China Film Administration showcased several productions centered on China's revolutionary history, including the feature film "Blood-Spattered Cliff," the opera film "Eight Sons, Eight Soldiers," and the VR film "Half of the Quilt." Filmmakers called on audiences to look back at history, honor fallen heroes, and pay tribute to those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Main creators from several other commercial films also presented their works on stage and recommended their films' highlights. They included the comedy drama "It's OK," the emotionally packed drama "Sunshine Women's Choir," the family comedy drama "Now I Met Her," the suspense crime thriller "Game of Identity," and the horror film "The Caged Butterfly."

The event also introduced a number of international films, including the much-anticipated animated feature "The Super Mario Galaxy Movie," the acclaimed sci-fi film "Project Hail Mary," and Pixar's top-rated animated film "Hoppers."

The holiday lasts three days from April 4 to 6.
