The Shenzhen Leopards extended their winning streak to 11 games in the 2025-26 Chinese Basketball Association regular season with a 103-98 win over the Shanxi Loongs Thursday.
Wang Haoran scored 33 points for Shenzhen, while Alize Johnson added 21 points and 15 rebounds. Marcos Knight led Shanxi with 23 points.
Shenzhen led by seven points in the second quarter before Shanxi cut the deficit to 53-49 at halftime. Wang had 16 points in the first half.
Jia Mingru hit a 3-pointer to cap an 11-3 run that gave Shanxi a 69-68 lead midway through the third quarter. However, Shenzhen responded with a 10-0 run to regain control and take an 81-73 lead into the fourth quarter.
Wang helped Shenzhen build a double-digit lead at the start of the final quarter. The home side cut the deficit to three points with 6:59 to play, but never looked like a serious threat to overtake Shenzhen.
In a tight game Wednesday, the Zhejiang Lions edged the Shandong Heroes 103-97.
Zhejiang, the defending champion, took an 80-74 lead into the final quarter. Shandong opened the fourth with a 7-1 run to keep its comeback hopes alive. However, Shandong center Tao Hanlin fouled out with 4:51 remaining, and Zhejiang secured the win with a 9-3 run over the next 2:39.
Rayjon Tucker of the Zhejiang Lions led all scorers with 36 points, 15 rebounds and 12 assists, while Jakarr Sampson added 17 points and four rebounds. For Shandong, DeVon Akeon Purcell scored a team-high 27 points.
Elsewhere, the Jilin Northeast Tigers beat the Sichuan Blue Whales 103-84, the Liaoning Flying Leopards defeated the Fujian Sturgeons 112-103, the Shanghai Sharks beat the Ningbo Rockets 119-97, the Beijing Ducks saw off the Guangzhou Loong Lions 103-94, the Nanjing Monkey Kings defeated the Beijing Royal Fighters 101-92, the Guangdong Southern Tigers beat the Qingdao Eagles 110-105, the Xinjiang Flying Tigers edged the Tianjin Pioneers 106-101, and the Zhejiang Golden Bulls outlasted the Jiangsu Dragons 89-77.
