Germany sweeps women's 50m rifle 3 positions gold and silver at ISSF World Cup

Germany secured both gold and silver medals in the women's 50m rifle 3 positions at the ISSF World Cup in Granada, Spain on Friday, while Chinese shooters failed to reach the podium.

Anna Janssen claimed the title with a total of 362.9 points, setting a new world record under the updated competition rules. Her compatriot Nele Stark finished second with 361.5 points, while Switzerland's Emely Jaeggi took bronze.

China fielded Wang Zifei, Han Jiayu and Zhou Manman in the event. Zhou, competing in her first World Cup, impressed in qualification by topping the standings with 594 points and eventually finished seventh. Wang and Han both scored 588, missing the final by a single point.

The ongoing ISSF World Cup in Granada, which runs from April 5 to 13, continues on Saturday with the women's 10m air pistol and men's 25m rapid fire pistol finals.
