At the 15th China International Garden Expo scheduled to open Wednesday in Wenzhou, Zhejiang province, the Paris Garden of France will make its debut with an exhibition design that draws inspiration from the legendary French artist Henri Matisse.

The garden blends Matisse's "armchair" philosophy — the idea of art as a soothing influence — with the spiritual ideals from Chinese paintings.

In the garden featuring pure color blocks and fluid lines, visitors can ascend white stairs to admire bronze sculptures or sit at the red pavilion, soaking in the springtime scenery.

The garden aims to redefine the boundary between arts and the outdoors, and bring together French contemporary vision and local Chinese heritage, allowing every visitor to discover the beauty of art in their daily surroundings.
