The "China Ceramic Select" pavilion, co-created by the China Internet Information Center and the China Ceramic Industry Association, debuted at the 6th China International Consumer Products Expo (CICPE) in Haikou, south China's Hainan province, on April 13.

Yu Yunquan, vice president of China International Communications Group (CICG), outlined the pavilion's role in promoting Chinese ceramic culture globally.

The "China Ceramic Select" is a key project of ci.china.com.cn, a platform developed to promote ceramic culture exchange and trade. Supported by CICG, it is part of the "Thousand Sails to the Sea" initiative, a national endeavor to boost the country's cultural exports.

The pavilion showcased exquisite ceramic art and design from various regions across China, featuring three main areas: ceramic displays, cultural interviews and e-commerce livestreams, and business negotiation services. It also offered booth building, multilingual promotion and other operational support for exhibitors to create a cohesive marketing ecosystem. Interactive check-in points were also set up to engage visitors.

Among various events held at the pavilion, a highlight was the "National Porcelain Going Global" conference, which promoted key projects and included roundtable discussions and supply-demand matchmaking activities.

Yu emphasized the importance of promoting ceramic cultural trade for boosting international communication and advocated for strong implementation of the initiative. Looking ahead, the China Internet Information Center will further enhance cultural exchanges and collaboration to boost the global influence of Chinese civilization.

This year's CICPE runs from April 13-18, coinciding with the launch of the 2026 "Shopping in China" International Consumption Season.
