The Vancouver Garden of Canada at the 15th China (Wenzhou) International Garden Expo that will run through July has emerged as a highlight among exhibitors, offering a sanctuary where North American aesthetics meet local landscapes.
Designed as an ecological art space, the garden seamlessly blends iconic Canadian imagery — maple forests, tranquil lakes, and rugged wilderness — with the unique geographical features of Wenzhou.
The pavilion's centerpiece is a striking architectural feat. A steel skeleton is designed to mimic the soft, flowing curves of natural snowdrifts. Floor-to-ceiling glass curtain walls create a lightweight, transparent effect, allowing the building to coexist peacefully with surrounding landscape.
The garden's design prioritizes environmental preservation while showcasing the "Wild North." A vibrant backdrop of maple trees sets the tone, complemented by mirrored waterscapes and meticulously arranged rock gardens.
The garden serves as a cultural landmark embodying the Canadian people's reverence for nature, as well as a bridge for China-Canada cultural exchange.
