CSL: Dalian's winning streak hits five, Chengdu stay top

Dalian Yingbo extended its winning streak to five matches with a 1-0 victory over Liaoning Tieren in a derby in the Chinese Super League on Wednesday night.

Midfielder Nicolae Stanciu struck in the 84th minute, unleashing a long-range effort after a cleared corner to seal Dalian's away win.

In another match, Joao Teixeira and Makhtar Gueye were on target as Shanghai Shenhua beat Qingdao Hainiu 2-0 at home.

On Tuesday, league leader Chengdu Rongcheng came from behind to secure a 2-1 win and stay top of the standings. Promoted side Chongqing Tonglianglong also continued its impressive run, upsetting defending champion Shanghai Port 2-1 away from home.

In other Round 9 results, Qingdao West Coast drew 0-0 with Henan FC, Wuhan Three Towns beat Zhejiang FC 2-0, Beijing Guoan edged Shenzhen Peng City 1-0 away, and Shandong Taishan defeated Tianjin Jinmen Tigers 2-1.
