China will step up efforts to build a new type of energy system during the 15th Five-Year Plan period (2026-2030), aiming to significantly increase its non-fossil energy supply by 2030 and double it by 2035 compared with 2025, said Wang Changlin, vice chairman of the National Development and Reform Commission, at a press conference on Friday.
