The launch ceremony of the "Agricultural Zhongguancun Talent Comprehensive Reform Pilot Zone" and the 2026 Beijing Pinggu Talent Development Conference was held today on Bibo Island at Jinhai Lake in northeastern Beijing’s Pinggu district.
Under the theme "Building a Talent Highland, Pooling Wisdom in Pinggu," the event marked a major step in integrating education, technology, and talent to drive high-quality development in the capital region.
Pinggu unveiled four targeted recruitment initiatives:
· Top Scientist Recruitment Plan: For strategic scientists committed to Pinggu, the district offers a tailored career platform, a 150 m² apartment with ownership, and a cash award of 1 million yuan (approx. US$138,000) per person.
· Leading Talent Recruitment Plan: Tech leaders starting a business in Pinggu receive subsidies covering up to 50% of their investment (maximum 5 million yuan) plus individual awards ranging from 100,000 to 1 million yuan.
· Overseas Talent Recruitment Plan: Professionals from core positions at Fortune Global 500 agribusinesses who come to work in Pinggu may receive annual salary subsidies of up to 1 million yuan. Those starting their own ventures get subsidies of up to 30% (capped at 3 million yuan).
· Talent Scout Recruitment Plan: Entities or individuals who successfully introduce top-tier talent to Pinggu can earn rewards of up to 1 million yuan.
