'Growing Together with My Country' gala in Beijing celebrates Children's Day

Editor's note: A gala performance themed "Growing Together with My Country" was held at the National Centre for the Performing Arts (NCPA) in Beijing on the evening of May 31. The event was co-hosted by the China Soong Ching Ling Foundation, the China Welfare Institute and the NCPA. Over a thousand youngsters from across the country took to the stage, telling heartwarming stories of growing up alongside their motherland through dance, song and sketches, celebrating International Children's Day on June 1.
