"We hope this partnership will help advance the industry as a whole," said Huang Jiawei, marketing director of Unitree Robotics, in a media interview in Hangzhou, eastern China's Zhejiang province, on Tuesday.

With 31 degrees of freedom across the body and 22 degrees of freedom in each hand, the robot stands approximately 1.8 meters tall and weighs about 68 kilograms.

In this system, Unitree Robotics provides the H2 humanoid robot hardware, while Nvidia supplies the AI computing platform, robot foundation models, and simulation system support. The robot is also equipped with five-finger robotic hands developed by Sharpa, a company headquartered in Singapore.

"Our partnership with Nvidia is built on the H2 humanoid robot hardware, where we hold advantages," said Yolanda Xie, marketing manager of Unitree Robotics.

"The reference design helps democratize frontier humanoid robotics research by providing access to advanced hardware and an open software stack without requiring proprietary platforms," the company announced on its website Monday. "[The] reference design gives research teams a more unified, secure foundation for advancing humanoid robotics."

Unitree H2 Plus will be available in late 2026, according to the company website.

On Monday, Unitree Robotics passed the review of its initial public offering (IPO) application on the China's STAR Market, which is designed to bolster companies in the high-tech and strategic emerging sectors.

The company plans to raise 4.2 billion yuan (US$616.13 million), which will be used for projects involving the research and development of intelligent robot models and robotic bodies, the development of new intelligent robot products, and the construction of an intelligent robot manufacturing base.
