Long March landmark witnesses rural development in Yihai

This year marks the 90th anniversary of the victory of the Long March, the historic military maneuver in modern Chinese history.

Nestled among the mountains in Mianning County, the Yihai Lake was the site of the historic Yihai Alliance during the Long March.

In recent years, Mianning County has leveraged the revolutionary heritage of the Yihai Alliance to attract visitors from across the country. The Yihai Scenic Area has been upgraded with improved tourism facilities and has been designated a national 4A-level tourist attraction, receiving more than 300,000 tourist visits annually.

Meanwhile, the lakeside Yihai Village has promoted the integration of agriculture, culture and tourism through study tours and local specialty industries, creating new opportunities for rural development.
