Crested ibis village in NW China makes efforts to develop eco-tourism

6月6日，朱鹮在草池湾朱鹮小村的荷塘中觅食。草池湾朱鹮小村位于陕西省安康市石泉县城关镇，是“国宝”朱鹮的栖息地。该村在划定本地野生朱鹮核心保护区的基础上，打造“朱鹮-稻田-鱼虾”共生生态系统，种植富硒有机稻米和莲藕等农产品，改造闲置农房为民宿，发展生态旅游。[新华社记者 张帆 摄]

The Caochiwan crested ibis village serves as a habitat for these precious birds. The village has built a symbiotic ecosystem that includes fish and shrimp farming and paddy rice planting on top of a core reserve for wild crested ibises.
