The State Grid Wenzhou Electric Power Supply Company recently provided on-site services for the Shenzhen International Integrated Logistics Port in Longgang city, so as to ensure the safety and reliability of the facility's power supply.

With a total investment of 1 billion yuan ($147.57 million) and spanning 209 acres, the logistics port blends intercity logistics, smart cloud warehousing, cold chain industries, and supply chain financial services.

Since the start of the second quarter, the logistics port has been experiencing a massive surge in business volume, triggering a higher demand for power usage, according to the head of the logistics port.

To address the port's high electrical loads, the State Grid Wenzhou Electric Power Supply Company formulated a comprehensive inspection strategy through analyzing its electricity usage.

On-site grid personnel conducted a floor-by-floor inspection focusing on power distribution rooms, low-voltage circuits, and critical emergency power sources to eliminate risks like insulation aging and electrical leakage.

They tested the startup performance of emergency backups, while training the logistics company's operations staff on mechanical safety standards and safe diesel storage, as well as raising their safety awareness.

After learning about the port's needs for electrical services, the power company said it will figure out a solution to optimize its power usage and help the enterprises cut down costs.
