Chinese People's Liberation Army (PLA) Navy's 83rd task force, which was on a far-sea cadet training and visit mission, arrived at the port of Vladivostok on Tuesday, starting a four-day goodwill visit to Russia.

The task force, comprising the PLA Navy's ships Qijiguang and Kunlunshan, docked at the port on Tuesday morning.

More than 200 people, including staff members from the Chinese Consulate General in Vladivostok, representatives of local Chinese community, as well as officers and soldiers from Russia's Pacific Fleet, welcomed the fleet at the dock.

Students from the Naval University of Engineering and Naval Submarine Academy lined up on the deck to greet the welcoming crowd.

During the visit, the officers and soldiers of the task force will hold exchanges with Russian counterparts.
