The triumph marks the 28-year-old Guo's maiden Grand Slam women's doubles title, while Mladenovic secured her seventh major doubles crown.

An emotional Guo shed tears on court before high-fiving and hugging her partner in celebration.

Seeded 10th, the duo, who only paired up this season, endured a challenging path to the title. They edged out top seeds Katerina Siniakova and Taylor Townsend 7-6 (8), 7-5 in the quarterfinals, before overcoming compatriots Jiang Xinyu and Xu Yifan in the semifinal to book their place in the final.

"Kristina, you are a great person and a great player. I'm so lucky to have you on my side. Thank you for choosing me and trusting me. I know we are going to have many more wonderful moments together," Guo said after the match.

Guo made her Grand Slam doubles debut in 2024 and made her first appearance in a Grand Slam singles main draw earlier this season. This victory marks the second Grand Slam women's doubles title won by a Chinese player this season, following veteran Zhang Shuai's victory alongside Belgium's Elise Mertens at the Australian Open in January.
