China, Czech Republic boost business cooperation at Beijing conference

The Czech-China Economic and Trade Cooperation Conference was held in Beijing on July 23. Co-organized by the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) and the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, the event brings together more than 120 representatives from government agencies and business communities of both countries.

Ren Hongbin, chairman of the CCPIT, highlighted the 10th anniversary of the China-Czech strategic partnership.

"CCPIT is ready to maintain close cooperation with its Czech counterparts to build high-quality platforms for exchanges and promote deeper practical cooperation between enterprises in both countries," Ren said.

Tomio Okamura, speaker of the Chamber of Deputies Parliament of the Czech Republic, said the Czech Republic and China have complementary strengths, particularly in areas such as nanotechnology, research, and innovation. He described China as an important economic partner and expressed hope for further advancing bilateral relations and cooperation under the strategic partnership.

František Chaloupecký, vice president of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, said the conference would help create new business partnerships and strengthen bilateral trade ties.

"I believe this visit will open new doors for broader cooperation between enterprises in China and the Czech Republic," Chaloupecký remarked. 

Additionally, Mikuláš Nozar, deputy director of the International Affairs Department of the Confederation of Industry of the Czech Republic, introduced the distinctive manufacturing and technology enterprises of the Czech Republic.

During the event, Sun Weiyong, president of the China International Exhibition Center Group, presented the 5th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), which will be held in Beijing in June 2027.
