China recently unveiled a plan for the protection and development of people with disabilities during the 15th Five-year Plan period (2026-2030). It includes two new targets: creating 1 million new jobs for people with disabilities in urban and rural areas and providing 3.5 million instances of care and support services for people with severe disabilities, said Cheng Kai, chairperson of the China Disabled Persons' Federation, at a press conference Monday.
