An exhibition featuring the art and cultural stories of the Dazu Rock Carvings, a UNESCO World Heritage Site in southwest China's Chongqing, opened to the public at the Memor Museum in New York, in June 2026.
Co-organized by the Memor Museum and the Academy of Dazu Rock Carvings, the exhibition, titled "Harmony of the East: World Heritage Dazu Rock Carvings-An Exhibition of Art and Life Narratives," marks the first large-scale presentation of the Dazu Rock Carvings in the United States through high-precision reproductions.

As the cliffside sculptures cannot be moved from their original site, the exhibition combines digital technology with meticulously crafted replicas. Using high-precision 3D scanning and printing, it recreates some of the site's most celebrated carvings, making this ancient cultural treasure accessible to overseas audiences.
Featuring iconic works such as the Thousand-Armed Guanyin and Rosary-Holding Guanyin, the exhibition highlights the artistic excellence of Song Dynasty (960-1279) grotto art and the integration of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism in Chinese culture.

The exhibition also offers immersive experiences through mixed reality (MR) technology and digital films, allowing visitors to explore the details and stories behind the ancient carvings.
Located in Manhattan's Upper East Side, the Memor Museum is the area's only Asian culture-themed museum and has long served as a platform for cultural dialogue between East and West.
Running through August 2026, the exhibition invites visitors to discover one of China's most renowned cultural treasures.
