Belgrano beats Banfield to climb table

Lucas Passerini and Lisandro Lopez scored in the second half as Belgrano eased to a 2-0 away win over Banfield in Argentina's Clausura tournament on Monday.

Passerini put his side ahead with a low finish in the 48th minute and Lopez headed in the second goal after Lucas Zelarayan's delivery from a corner.

The hosts had six shots on target but couldn't find a way past Belgrano goalkeeper Thiago Cardozo.

Belgrano is now fourth in the 15-team Zone B standings with seven points, five behind leader Argentinos Juniors.

Banfield is 12th with one win and a draw from four outings.
