CSL roundup: Beijing Guoan continues unbeaten streak, Chengdu Rongcheng ends six-game winless run

Beijing Guoan extended its unbeaten run in the Chinese Super League to eight matches with a 4-2 away victory over Tianjin Jinmen Tiger in the 23rd round on Saturday, while Chengdu Rongcheng ended a six-match winless run.

Having recorded five wins and two draws in the previous seven rounds, Guoan took control as Fabio Abreu and Dawhan gave the visitor a 2-0 lead by halftime, before Cao Yongjing and Fabio made it 4-0 shortly after the break.

The home side pulled two goals back, but it was too late.

Also on Saturday, Chengdu Rongcheng came from two goals down to beat Zhejiang FC 3-2.

Zhejiang surged into a 2-0 lead after 21 minutes thanks to strikes from Park Jin-seob and Alexandru Mitrita, but Felipe Silva's brace helped Chengdu draw level in the 69th minute.

With the game seemingly headed for a draw, Behram Abduweli grabbed a last-gasp winner from Wei Shihao's assist.

With the win, Chengdu leads the table with 48 points, 14 ahead of second-placed Yunnan Yukun, which rallied to beat 10-man Dalian Yingbo 3-1.

Wuhan Three Towns failed to capitalize on Tianjin's defeat to climb out of the relegation zone after suffering a 3-2 home defeat to Shanghai Port.

Jhonder Cadiz put Wuhan ahead just three minutes into the game, but the defending champion turned the game around in the space of nine minutes through Wei Zhen's header and a brace from Prince Ampem.

The home side pulled one goal back in the 75th minute through Antoine Leautey's low strike and thought it had scored again deep into stoppage time, but the late effort was ruled out for offside.

Elsewhere, Shanghai Shenhua crushed Henan FC 4-1, Shandong Taishan beat Qingdao Hainiu 3-1, Shenzhen Peng City won 2-1 away to Liaoning Tieren, while Qingdao West Coast and Chongqing Tonglianglong shared the spoils in a 0-0 draw.
