From the kilns to the capital

The exhibition Jingdezhen: A Cultural Heritage was held at the Chinese Traditional Culture Museum in Beijing from August 1 to 31, detailing the world heritage value of the handicraft porcelain industry in Jingdezhen, Jiangxi Province. The city has been China's main center of excellence in the production of porcelain for over 1,000 years and was inscribed on UNESCO's World Heritage List on July 25.

Huang Xiaoqing, an inheritor of the intangible cultural heritage of the traditional fencai or famille rose style of decorating porcelain, demonstrates the skill at the museum on August 25.
