Perazzo named San Lorenzo interim boss

Former Argentine striker Walter Perazzo has been appointed interim manager of San Lorenzo as the club seeks a permanent successor to Nestor Gorosito.

Perazzo will lead San Lorenzo in its home clash against Talleres Cordoba in Argentina's Clausura tournament on Saturday.

Gorosito was sacked on Tuesday following a 1-0 away defeat to Instituto Cordoba, a result that left the Buenos Aires club 14th in the 15-team Zone A standings.

Argentine media reported that Carlos Tevez, Ruben Dario Insua, Gustavo Quinteros and Luis Zubeldia are among the candidates to fill the vacant position.

San Lorenzo is one of Argentina's most successful clubs, having won 15 top flight titles and a Copa Libertadores crown in its 118-year history.
