Hulk shines as Fluminense eyes Libertadores semis

Hulk scored one goal and set up another as Fluminense secured a 2-0 home win over Platense in the first leg of their Copa Libertadores quarterfinal on Tuesday.

The hosts opened the scoring in the 21st minute at the Maracana when Nonato latched onto Hulk's through ball and dribbled 30 yards before finishing clinically past Juan Pablo Cozzani.

Former Brazil international forward Hulk doubled the lead as he took two touches to control Paulo Henrique Ganso's pass and drilled a shot into the far corner.

The Argentine side had just 39 percent of the possession and managed one shot on target.

The decisive return fixture will be played in Buenos Aires next Tuesday with the winner on aggregate advancing to the competition's last four.
