Ex-Brazil forward Everton joins Santos

Former Brazil international forward Everton Soares has joined Santos from Brazilian Serie A rival Flamengo, both clubs said on Wednesday.

The 30-year-old agreed to a deal that runs until December after parting ways with Flamengo by mutual consent. Everton made 193 appearances across all competitions for Flamengo and scored 21 goals following his arrival in 2022.

His career has also included spells at Gremio and Benfica, among other clubs.

Everton has been capped 25 times for Brazil's national team and scored three goals.
