Sharon Crain calls on younger generation to be 'planks' of China-US ties

Sharon Crain, a China-U.S. relations expert and personal friend of renowned American journalist Helen Foster Snow in her later years, visited the Former Residence of Soong Ching Ling in Beijing on Aug. 26. As one of the few living friends who personally knew Madame Soong Ching Ling, Crain donated copies of her correspondence with Soong and shared rare historical insights. In this interview, she reflected on Soong's compassionate spirit and why individuals, especially the younger generation, must serve as strong "planks" that uphold China-U.S. friendship today.
