匠心逐梦——“00后”工业设计达人：将奇思妙想转化为新质生产力
Young industrial design talent turns creative ideas into new quality productive forces

第48届世界技能大赛有位“00后”选手，她叫覃秀桃，来自广东茂名高州。再过几天，她将在上海代表中国出战工业设计技术项目比赛，向技能比拼的全球最高舞台发起冲刺。

Coming from Gaozhou of south China's Guangdong Province, Qin Xiutao, a post-00s contestant, will compete in the industrial design technology event of the 48th WorldSkills Competition in Shanghai a few days later.

覃秀桃从小喜爱绘画，乐于动手拆装各类物品。2019年，她考入深圳技师学院工业设计专业，把对工业设计的憧憬付诸实践。2022年，她入选学院工业设计集训队，经过市赛、省赛，于2023年摘得第二届全国技能大赛工业设计技术项目金牌，随后成为该项目的国家集训队成员。

Qin loved painting from a young age and enjoyed taking things apart and assembling them. After being admitted to the industrial design program at Shenzhen Institute of Technology, she won a gold medal in the industrial design technology event of the second national skills competition in 2023 and subsequently became a member of the national training team for the skill.

工业设计技术项目考验选手完成产品开发全流程，总竞赛时长超过20个小时，拆分到4天完成。工业设计技术项目题库覆盖面极广，智能设备、助残无障碍产品、宠物用品等都在出题范围内。

The industrial design technology event tests competitors on the entire product development process, with a total competition time of more than 20 hours. Its test bank covers a wide range of topics, including smart devices, accessible products for people with disabilities, and pet supplies.

备赛期，覃秀桃大部分时间把自己关在学院的工作室里，每日按计划训练，打磨设计和操作能力。备战再忙她仍会抽出时间，看看市场上的最新产品和受到消费者喜爱的“爆款”，也会与教练一起研究、拆解、改造既有产品，提高自己对题目的分析和设计能力。

During preparation, Qin trains every day according to her plan, honing her design and hands-on skills. She also sets aside time to study the latest products on the market and popular "hit products" favored by consumers, to improve her ability to analyze and design across different topics.

如今，大赛的脚步越来越近，覃秀桃的备战也进入冲刺阶段。她表示，“我会尽全力展现中国技能选手的设计能力与工匠精神，和世界各地的青年选手交流学习，取长补短。无论最终结果如何，我都会全力以赴，不留遗憾，为国争光。”

As the competition draws near, Qin's preparation has entered the final stage. "I will do my utmost to showcase the design ability and craftsmanship spirit of Chinese skilled competitors, exchange with and learn from young contestants around the world, and draw on each other's strengths," she said.
