Under the theme "Empowering Supply Chain Upgrades through Animal Welfare, Energizing New Agri-Food Consumption through Sustainability," the conference is expected to attract nearly 600 participants, including representatives from international organizations, leading enterprises from across the industrial chain, and professional buyers from home and abroad.

As the conference's permanent venue, Pinggu will once again bring together global agri-food experts, representatives of international organizations, and leading industry companies to explore green transformation pathways for agri-food systems and build an international platform for exchange and cooperation on animal welfare and sustainable agriculture.

The event will feature an opening ceremony, keynote reports, thematic seminars, parallel sub-forums, an exhibition of sustainable livestock products, and producer-buyer matchmaking. It aims to create a high-end exchange setting that integrates industry, academia, research, and application, and promotes collaboration among government, business, and media. Discussions will focus on frontier issues such as animal welfare, livestock industry upgrading, food safety, sustainable management of the entire industrial chain, and agricultural trade, with the goal of building an international academic hub and an industry matchmaking window in the agri-food field.

The conference is co-hosted by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and the China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation (CAPIAC), supported by the People's Government of Pinggu District, Beijing, and jointly initiated by multiple animal welfare organizations worldwide.

Since its first edition in 2017, the conference has been successfully held six times, witnessing the transformation of China's agri-food industry from scale expansion to value-driven development. Starting in 2024, Pinggu officially became its permanent host.

Home to a cluster of national-level research institutions, including China Agricultural University and the Chinese Academy of Agricultural Sciences, Pinggu has notable strengths in seed industry innovation, green agriculture, and agricultural product standardization. These provide unique scenario support for translating animal welfare research into practice and implementing sustainable agri-food standards, while continuously contributing a "Pinggu Solution" for the green and healthy transformation of agri-food systems.
