“外卖诗人”王计兵：低处飞行也能抵达梦想
Deliveryman chases his poetic dream

王计兵1969年出生于江苏，初中没有读完就离开校园。为了生计，他当过建筑工、捞过沙、摆过摊，还拾过废品。买不起书，他就蹲在街边书摊一次读几页。捡废品时，他舍不得卖收来的旧报纸，和工友坐在树荫下读报，一字一句汲取养分。生活艰辛，但他心底那团文学的火始终没有熄灭。“文学是我生命里的一颗糖。”他笑了笑，“我从来没觉得坚持写作有多苦，热爱本身就是理由。”

Born in 1969 in east China's Jiangsu Province, Wang Jibing dropped out of school during junior high. To make a living, he worked as a construction worker, a sand dredger, a street vendor and a scrap collector. Yet, he never lost his appetite for reading, often lingering at secondhand book stalls and sifting through discarded newspapers. Life was hard, yet his love for literature never faded. "Literature is a candy in my life." He said. "I've never found that writing is mentally challenging. Passion is all that drives me."

2019年，50岁的王计兵注册成为外卖骑手，成为站点内年龄最大的外卖员。送餐路上，等红灯、等候出餐的间隙，都是他的创作时间。灵感一来，他用手机语音快速记录，把街头见闻和人情冷暖收进文字。

In 2019, hearing that delivering food could pay well, Wang decided to give it a shot. At 50, he became the oldest courier at his station. On his way to deliver takeout food, while waiting for red lights and for the food to be served, he composed verses. When inspiration struck, he used his mobile phone to jot down moments of his experience on streets and the sentiment.

今年，王计兵凭借诗集《低处飞行》成为鲁迅文学奖史上首位斩获诗歌奖的外卖员。获奖后，他收到的邀约不断。可只要有空，他依旧换上骑手装备，穿梭在昆山街巷。

This year, Wang's poetry collection "Low Flight" won him the Lu Xun Literature Prize, making him the first takeout rider-turned-laureate. Since receiving the honor, he has received many work invitations. Even so, whenever he has free time, he still puts on his delivery uniform and rides through the streets of Kunshan.

“送外卖能让我保持真实，这是我的强项。身处生活之中，才能不断捕捉新感受、获取创作灵感。”

"Delivering food keeps me grounded. It is where my power lies. To find fresh emotion and creative inspiration, I must stay immersed with real life." He said.
