China says US should move in same direction for development of trade ties

China and the United States need to move in the same direction, adhere to mutual benefit and win-win results and promote the continued, steady development and improvement of China-U.S. economic and trade ties, Chinese foreign ministry spokesperson Guo Jiakun said on Friday.

Guo made the remarks at a regular news briefing when answering a question about China's purchases of agricultural goods from the United States.

Maintaining the steady development of China-U.S. economic and trade relations is in the interest of both countries and peoples, and conducive to global economic growth, Guo said.
