Ordos launches 15th Ice and Snow Tourism Season

On Dec. 27, Ordos city launched the opening ceremony of its 15th Ice and Snow Cultural Tourism Season and the 12th Ordos Public Ice and Snow Season. The event will run until March 2026.

This edition of the ice and snow season integrates culture, tourism, sports, and commerce through 17 unique cultural and tourism activities, combining winter sports, folk culture, and culinary experiences.

In recent years, Ordos has actively promoted the deep integration of ice and snow sports, tourism, and culture. Since the beginning of this winter, the city has planned and launched 120 distinctive cultural and tourism activities, as well as several major events. It has also developed 10 winter tourism theme routes and three ice and snow event tourism routes, seamlessly connecting the entire industry chain of "dining, accommodation, transportation, sightseeing, shopping, and entertainment."

By transforming the "cold resources" of ice and snow into "hot momentum" for industrial growth, the initiative has injected new vitality into the region's high-quality economic and social development.

The event aims to cater to the diverse needs of different groups. It is expected to attract over 1.5 million participants during the activity period, driving consumption growth by more than 30%. The season promises to offer residents and visitors a high-quality, immersive winter cultural and tourism experience.
