
Ordos is seeing rapidly expanding global connectivity, with its aviation port reporting a sharp rise in cross-border travel in 2025.
According to official data, total inbound and outbound passenger inspections at Ordos Airport reached 75,508 in 2025, up 91.7% year on year. The number of international flights exceeded 600, a 99.7% increase from the previous year. Of the total passengers handled, 37,395 were inbound and 38,113 outbound, including 54,237 foreign travelers.
Passenger throughput set new daily, monthly and annual records, the highest levels in nearly five years.

Since the beginning of 2025, cross-border travel through Ordos Airport has continued to rise, with a more diverse passenger mix. In addition to business travelers, students and overseas workers, the airport has welcomed tourists from 44 countries, including the Republic of Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, the United States, Germany and Japan.
The sustained growth underscores Ordos' accelerating integration into global travel and exchange networks.
